Heaviest Snow in last 20 years hits much of UK
Heavy snow hits UK since the night of 1st Feb, Britain was just hit with showering snow for the first time in last 20 years (according to ITV news). This causes problems on UK transportation:
- Rail network and London Underground: Many tube lines are partially suspended (Circle and Hammersmith and City lines entirely suspended.) ;South West Trains reduce their services.
- All London bus services have been stopped according to dangerous condition of running.

- Passengers stranded at Gatwick
BBC reports that up to 6 in. or 15 cm. of snow fell over last night and day today and it would be snowing again on this coming Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of the first week in February.

มีหิมะตกหนักที่สุดในรอบ 20 ปีในสหราชอาณาจักร ตามข่าวจาก iTV เริ่มจากคืนวันที่ 1 กุมภาพันธ์ ต้อนรับเดือนใหม่ มีหิมะตกลงมาเรื่อยๆ ซึ่งส่งผลถึงการคมนาคมในสหราชอาณาจักร เช่น
- ระบบขนส่งและคมนาคมทางรถไฟ และ รถไฟใต้ดิน มีการหยุดให้บริการหลายสาย ( Circle, Hammersmith and City lines หยุดให้บริการทั้งสาย), ระบบการรถไฟ ตะวันตกเฉียงใต้ของประเทศลดจำนวนรอบการให้บริการ
- รถประจำทางในกรุงลอนดอนหยุดให้บริการ เนื่องจากภาวะอากาศไม่อำนวย

บีบีซีรายงานว่า หิมะตกหนาถึง 6 นิ้ว หรือ 15 เซนติเมตร เพราะหิมะตกตั้งแต่คืนที่ 1 จนถึงวันที่ 2 กพ. มีพยากรณ์อากาศว่า อาจจะมีหิมะตกอีกบ้างแต่ไม่มากในวันพุธ พฤหัส และวันศุกร์ที่จะถึงในสัปดาห์นี้
